In 2014 it was very much the thing to wear “statement necklaces” or long “pendant” necklaces. I found that with my “voluptuousness” all these so called “long” necklaces barely hit my middle, in fact, they looked short! Apparently, it takes extra effort to navigate all of that territory. This is why I started making statement pieces under the name Asterisk Jewelry. Fortunately for me, I worked in an interior design boutique that agreed to sell the necklaces. This was my sneaky way of being able to afford the necklaces I wanted to make for myself. Make 5 necklaces, keep one and sell the rest. Flawless business plan. Until I got restless. Ha! I made necklaces for about a year and I enjoyed the creativity of it, it just felt more like a craft and didn’t scratch that artist itch. So I was on to bigger and better things! But for posterity's sake, I’m posting these pictures of what was - Asterisk Jewelry.
